One of the ObeyGC2 values is that work is efficient.
This is a matter of stewardship. The Lord wants us to make wise use of whatever He gives us. In the parable of the talents we see that He will reward those who make good use of what He gives them. One of the up-sides of this is that He will give more to whomever makes wise use of what He has already given them. God is not a foolish investor. He invests more in people who are consistently giving Him a good return on His investments in them. If our goal is to bring maximum glory to God, we want to be one of those people.
Eph 5:15-16
15 Be very careful, then, how you live-not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
Matt 25:23, 29-30
23 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
…
29 For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. 30 And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
